Trish DeCaprio grew up in Cambridge, Mass., where she began violin lessons and took advantage of the many performing arts opportunities offered through the Cambridge Public Schools. She spent her high school and college years taking private lessons at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge. Summers were spent as a student and employee of Bay State String Camp/Foundation for the Advancement of String Education under the direction of violinist, Arleen Greene.
Trish attended Westfield State College (WSC) on a full music scholarship where she received a BA in Music Management. At WSC she continued private studies on the violin with Clayton Hoener & Marsha Harbison while she worked in sales and public relations for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and later the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
More recently Trish has performed as a fiddler & vocalist from Ohio to Maine with several different bands including As the Crow Flies, Blackbird, the Goodhues Band.
In addition to performing, Trish currently offers instruction on violin for beginners, intermediate and early advanced students in the Newburyport, MA area.
